April 2014 - 
January 2014 - 

"Science Experience" for 75 South Australian High School students and 10 University Mentors was conducted at the The University of Adelaide on January 15th ,2014. The students enjoyed a range of hands on activities, including Get into Genes and other engineering, maths science  and computer science activities. Three students attending the Get into Genes activity  appeared as a feature article in the South Australian newspaper, "the Advertiser".

November 2013 - 

During 2013 the GiG team refreshed the Year 12 workshop based on teacher suggestions and current research. It was trialed in Victoria with teachers, educators and students and receieved great reviews!! This will be fine-tuned for delivery in 2014

October 2013 - 

On October 15 and 16 GiG Victorian team travelled to  deliver workshops to schools in the Warrnambool and Timboon area. The staff and students from the attending regional schools were very engaged and appreciative of the opportunity

Get into Genes is a FREE, hands-on, curriculum-linked workshop for secondary school students that highlights the application of biotechnology to food production.
